Landscapes of the Ziz Valley & Gorges

Landscapes of the Ziz Valley & Gorges

Starting on May 4th, 2016 I began my way back to Fez on my Peugeot motor scooter. That means that the sequence of landscape pictures begins with the Tafilelt Oasis north of Erfoud and ends after emerging onto the plain from the Tizi n Talghaumt Pass (1907 mt.). From there I headed east to Missour and finally up into the Middle Atlas, returning through Bouleman and Immouzer Kandar. As these galleries of the topography of more areas of Morocco evolved, I decided to create separate galleries for physical features such as rivers, aquifers and springs, and rivers. In most cases the landscapes do not follow a river bed for the distances one sees in the Ziz region. In order to get a more complete picture of the terrain largely carved out by the Ziz River over the millennia, the viewer will need to view both this gallery and the one for the Ziz River. Photos taken between May 4-7th, 2016
