Introduction to Landscapes in the Region Around Fes & Meknes

The photographs in this gallery were all taken within a 60 km radius around Fes. It therefore includes Meknes, Sefrou, Immouzer du Kandar, Sidi Harazem, Moulay Yacoub, Moulay Idriss, and the Roman archeological site Volubilis. Physical features in this region include Mt. Zerhoune and Mt. Zalagh, the foothills of the Middle Atlas, as well as the four reservoirs and their source rivers: Barrage Idriss 1er (Inaouen River), Barrage Allal al Fassi (Sebou River), Barrage Al Wahda (Ouergha River), and Barrage Sidi Chahed (Mikkes River).
